Published last fall to coincide with the University's celebration of 100-years as a University, Born in Chicago is the first-ever Loyola history book. Written by noted Chicago historian Ellen Skerrett, the book tells the story of how Loyola University Chicago and the city of Chicago have evolved together for more than a century, from the time of the Great Fire and Father Arnold Damen's founding of St. Ignatius College on 12th Street, to the present day. The book is available online through Loyola Press.
