Who We Are

THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION STAFF
You see their faces at Family Weekend and alumni receptions, hear their voices when you call to RSVP, and exchange emails with them on all manner of subjects — but who are they? Read on to learn more about your Loyola Alumni Association team.

Allison Coté
Assistant Director
JFRC and Rambler Clubs
(312) 915-6742
acote@luc.edu

Allison is responsible for alumni clubs outside of Chicago as well as the John Felice Rome Center alumni group. Allison comes to the Alumni Association after working in Advancement Information Services at Loyola since July 2007. She is a grad of Ball State where she was a resident assistant and participated in Student Government Association.

Clara Dina Hinojosa
Assistant Director
Education, Social Work and Service & Spirituality
(312) 915-6741
chinoj1@luc.edu

Clara Dina is the liaison to the School of Education, School of Social Work, and the Institute of Pastoral Studies (IPS), and manages spirituality and social justice programming. She joined the Alumni Association staff in October 2006 after working in Loyola's Graduate and Professional Enrollment Management department where she was the IPS enrollment advisor and recruiter. A graduate student in spiritual direction, she companions those participating in St. Ignatius' Spiritual Exercises. This fall, Clara Dina excitedly joined Halas Gym at the Lake Shore campus.  Reluctantly, she meets with her trainer at 6:30 a.m.  *yawn*

Beth Kondrat - A&S '06
Assistant Director
Reunions and Special Interest Groups
(312) 915-6189
ekondra@luc.edu

Beth graduated from Loyola University Chicago in May of 2006 with a B.A. in Communication and a minor in English. Beth is responsible for working with a number of special interest groups and networks such as LULAB, LGBTQ and Rugby and writing the Alumni eMonthly.  She also works with the Half Century Club, The School of Communication Alumni and Family Weekend programming. Originally from Portland, Oregon, in her free time Beth sings with the Apollo Chorus of Chicago.  Attending free concerts in the park, the abundance of neighborhood festivals, and outdoor seating at restaurants make summer her favorite time in Chicago.

Karen Laguatan - BUS '89, GSB '97
Assistant Director
Career & Professional Development
(312) 915-8677
klaguatan@luc.edu

The newest member of the Alumni Association team, Karen manages career development and networking initiatives for alumni, on and off line. She works closely with our colleagues in the Career Development Center and Career Management Services for the School of Business. Karen is passionate about traveling (especially internationally) and anything food-related. She believes her studies at the Rome Center and backpacking adventures thereafter (which included culinary tours) jump started this!

Nicole LeDuc Meehan - A&S '02, GSB '06
Director
(312) 915-7666
nleduc@luc.edu

Originally from the great state of Minnesota (the land of duck, duck, gray duck!), Nicole has two Loyola degrees and has been director of the Alumni Association since January 2007. She works with Mundelein alumnae and affinity programs and services (travel program, alumni credit card, insurance, etc.). In her spare time, Nicole enjoys reading, camping, traveling the world, and entertaining friends and family (but only if her husband is doing the cooking!).

Sarah Malouf - A&S '04, GSB '08
Assistant Director
Students & Young Alumni
(312) 915-7291
smalouf@luc.edu

Sarah has called Loyola “home” for the past 9 years, both as a student and as a staff member.  As an undergrad, she studied English and Secondary Education, and recently earned her Masters in Integrated Marketing Communications (isn’t that a mouthful?) in June of 2008.  Sarah primarily works with our Young Alumni programming, as well as with the “Alumni in Training” program designed specifically for current students.  Sarah loves living in Chicago, but traveling makes her very happy.  When she’s not at Loyola, you might find Sarah shopping at Border’s, taking in a baseball game at US Cellular Field (GO WHITE SOX!), or learning Italian.

Michael Nowak - A&S '07, GSB '11
Administrative Assistant
(312) 915-7660
mnowak2@luc.edu

Originally from Cleveland (and yes, it does rock), Michael has an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Loyola, and is currently working on his MBA. In addition to handling event registration and the phones, Michael manages our social networking tools, including facebook, Twitter & RSS Feeds. When not cramming for exams or writing papers, Michael enjoys watching hockey, traveling around the Midwest (if only Megabus had frequent rider miles...), and telling everyone about it in 140 characters or less on Twitter.

Kim Walsh - GSB '08
Assistant Director
(312) 915-6214
kwalsh6@luc.edu

Kim works with the School of Business Administration and Graduate School of Business. She has worked at Loyola since 2005, joining the Alumni Association team in 2007. While earning her MBA from the GSB, she was able to travel to the Rome Center, Greece and South America. Outside her Loyola life, Kim is an avid fan of Marquette Basketball, enjoys visiting her family in St. Louis (Go Redbirds!) and traveling as much as possible.

*Martin J. Lane - A&S '65: After almost 40 years of service to his alma mater, Marty retired from Loyola University Chicago on March 27, 2009. He is looking forward to spending his retirement with his wife Carol and all their grandchildren. He promises not to be a stranger (and we know he won't be), so be sure look for him at alumni events!

ADDITIONAL THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION STAFF
In addition to the Alumni Association, Law, Stritch School of Medicine, and Niehoff School of Nursing have  staff that work directly with the school-specific initatives (such as alumni boards) for those schools.
