LOYOLA RAMBLER CLUBS

Loyola Rambler clubs exist to foster a sense of association with Loyola University Chicago. We want to build vibrant communities of Ramblers both in and outside of the Chicago area. Alumni, current and former parents, current and former faculty, and University friends are invited to join the club. Clubs host a variety of activities ranging from social and cultural outings to educational, networking, and community service events.

Hey Parents...
Wonder what life is like for your child out in Chicago? Attending club events is a great way for parents to get involved with Loyola, find out about the Loyola college experience from people who have lived it, and connect with other parents. We invite and encourage parents to attend alumni club activities. For information about parent specific programs, check out LUC.edu/lucpa/

National Events: The Merits of Magis

Join Loyola Alumni, Friends, and Parents at special events around the country. Event dates will be posted for each city in early December.

• Enjoy a student-led video tour of the campus
• Reconnect with fellow alumni
• Get updated on the latest happenings at Loyola
• Hear about life at Loyola from a current student
• Meet parents of current students

Dodgeball in Dallas?  Volleyball in Vegas?  Lacrosse in Lacrosse?
If you play intramural sports with fellow Ramblers and are looking for a team sponsor, look no further than the Loyola Alumni Association. The Loyola Alumni Association will give you up to $200 ($25 per Loyola alum) towards joining a league* of your choice.  We'll send Rambler t-shirts and wristbands for everyone on your team. In return, we ask you send us pictures of your team sporting your Loyola gear and updates on your how your season is going. *Play must be in an established league.

Don't live in a club city but still want to host an event?
Every year the Loyola Alumni Association receives numerous requests from alumni across the country to host events in their cities.

We encourage Ramblers to get together and have developed “Event in a Box” as a way for a parent or alumnus/a to host an event with help from the Alumni Association but without a Loyola staff person being present at the event. Each box will contain all the necessary items for hosting an event.

To request an “Event in a Box”:

1. Submit an "Event in a Box" application at least 12 weeks before the event.

2. The Alumni Association office will review the request.

3. Upon review the Alumni Association will follow up to gather any additional information.

4. The Alumni Association will publicize the event on the web and through email.

5. The alumnus/a organizes the event and takes reservations.

6. Two weeks prior to the event, the Alumni Association will send the alumnus/a an “Event in a Box,” complete with everything he or she needs for a successful gathering.
