Anniversary Issue of the SOE newsletter
In the coming weeks, the School of Education 40th anniversary newsletter will be published and mailed to our SOE alumni community. Check out the impressive accomplishments of our alumni, faculty, staff and the historic photos in this commemorative issue.
SOE 40th Anniversary Celebration
The School of Education will be hosting a 40th anniversary celebration. This evening reception will be held at the Water Tower Campus on Thursday, December 3. To participate at this event, register now.
At the event, a slide show will be showing historic and current photos of our School and it's campuses plus students, faculty and staff.

Award-Winning Author Speaks at Loyola!
Greg Mortenson, humanitarian and co-author of the #1 New York Times best-seller Three Cups of Tea, was on campus on Friday, August 21st for a public lecture and book-signing event. The lecture, entitled "Promoting Peace Through Education," was co-sponsored by The School of Education and Community Affairs.

SOE, Partners, Earn Department of Education Grant
Loyola and three other area universities that house Chicago's largest
elementary teacher preparation programs have received a Teacher Quality
Partnership (TQP) grant from the U.S. Department of Education to create
the Chicago Teacher Pipeline Partnership (CTPP). The CTPP, which is
intended to develop a pipeline of high-quality teachers for Chicago
Public Schools (CPS), will receive just under $3 million in its first
