Spirit of Ignatius Award

The Spirit of Ignatius Award is intended to be presented annually to an alumnus of the school of nursing who best characterizes Curas Personalis or "Care of the Person."

The criteria for the award are:
  • Promotes the mission of Loyola University and the School of Nursing through word, action, and deed.
  • Is present to others, be they colleagues, students and other university constituents.
  • Displays a spirit of charity to others.
  • Through example, engenders in others their desire to perform at their best.
  • Endorsements from individuals outside of the school of nursing attesting to the nominee's characteristics as an individual who "cares for the person" can be listed in the "Reasons Nominee Deserves Award" section below, but not in excess of three testimonials.
