Lessons and Carols

« Back

Based on an order drawn up by the Bishop of Truro in Cornwall, England in 1880, Lessons and Carols tells the story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus. Readings are taken from Genesis, the prophetic books and the Gospels, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns, and choir music. Performing groups include Loyola’s Schola Cantorum, Women’s Chorus, University Chorale, and Chamber Choir.
